A Remarkable Interspecific Open Day at Utopia Clivias
Our debut Interspecific Open Day was an outstanding success, with a wonderful flow of visitors who brought great enthusiasm and curiosity. Guests thoroughly enjoyed the live talk focused on interspecific hybrids, sparking engaging discussions among both newcomers and seasoned growers.
A major highlight was the live broadcast by Black ’n White Visual Media, who streamed the entire event on YouTube. Their coverage included interviews with guests and beautifully captured the vibrant atmosphere of the day. We were especially honoured to welcome special visitors all the way from Russia, adding an international touch to this milestone event.
The coffee shop was a favourite stop, offering fresh coffee, delicious cakes and a variety of eats that were enjoyed by all.
Thanks to the overwhelmingly positive response, we are excited to announce that our Interspecific Open Day will now become an annual event during the interspecific flowering season. We remain committed to educating the public about the beauty, diversity and importance of interspecific hybrids — and we look forward to growing this new tradition year after year.
